Some information about Croatia
You already know Croatia, you lay on a warm beach and drank white wine from the Vugawa strain from the island of Vis, whose refreshing sweetness has already deigned the ancient inhabitants of this region. That's how you became part of world history. If you remember it, then you have to go back there, more than one island will surprise you with its diversity. And if you don't remember or have not been there, then all the more you have to visit the land of a thousand islands.
The Croatian coastline is unique, and the numerous islands on the Adriatic (it separates the Apennine Peninsula from the Balkans) are parallel to the shores and offer many opportunities to travel between them and enjoy nature and monuments or simply laze in the shade of almond. The vast majority of Croatian islands are uninhabited. For lovers of sunbathing there are plenty of sandy beaches, but it is worth remembering that in some areas you can find rocky beaches.
To fully appreciate the charm of the Croatian islands, it's best to take a yacht trip around them. It is not only a breeze in the hair on a hot day, but also a breath of freedom. You can easily turn an overwhelming hotel into an independent water house - a yacht. Then your home will be where you are. You will always find a cozy place in numerous marinas offering a high standard of services. And there, straight from the deck, you can go to conquer such famous cities (in Croatian the city is hail), like one of the most beautiful places of Croatia Dubrovnik with its pearl of monuments - the Old Town or Split, the capital of Dalmatia, where we can still see the remains of the huge emperor's palace Diocletian, which became almost part of the streets of the old city. For those who like self-discovery, not necessarily the richest in cities, Rijeka awaits, you can stroll along the Korzo promenade, look for unobvious places to sunbathe and get to know the climate of less touristic Croatia. And many, many other towns can be found on the shores of this country.
Almost from countless small and large islands, one that is worth visiting is Mljet. In a small space - the island is 37 km long and 3 km wide - there is, among others national park (Nacionalni Park Mljet). Most of the island and the park are forests, where you can rest in peace or explore this interesting nature. Near the village of Babino Polje you can admire the Odysseus Cave, where, according to legend, Odysseus himself lived. Currently, the village is a port for fishing boats.
Lovers of good food will find something special for themselves, not only well-known seafood, but also a wide variety of Croatian delicacies, e.g. pški sir (hard cheese) made from sheep's milk, with a spicy taste or various variants of fish soup.
Adventure with a yacht is both an offer for whole families, couples, groups of friends and loners.
It is also worth knowing that staying in Croatia, and especially yacht charter, is also a great opportunity to try various water sports. Almost everyone can find an exciting offer on water skiing and snorkeling - the simplest form of observing underwater life. A scuba diver "armed" with a mask, snorkel and fins floats on the water surface with his face submerged, observing what is happening below him. For experienced divers, the waters of Croatia offer many opportunities to meet the fauna and flora of this reservoir.
Regardless of whether you are an experienced sailor or you are just starting the adventure with sails, you will find a suitably prepared yacht charter offer. For old sea wolves, all you need is a glance at the selected yacht, its standard and price to quickly decide on its booking.
Beginner sailors or simply amateurs of the new way of spending their vacation will take a little more time, but it is worth spending it to get your dream water vehicle. It is worth paying attention to various insurance options, availability periods - and here the standard choice is July-August or other months. Sometimes there is simply no way out and you have to go on a journey in the middle of the holidays, then it is worth choosing and tapping the right yacht before. You can spend winter evenings with mulled wine, not necessarily Croatian, and go on a virtual journey through the offer of yachts in Croatia.
